Call for papers

Submissions in the following categories are considered.

Regular papers, short papers and invited session papers

Regular, short and invited session papers form the core of the conference. Draft papers are limited to 8 double-column pages. Final papers are restricted to 6 pages. Papers up to 8 pages long may be considered, but will be subject to an overlength fee. Short papers should be not less then 3 pages of length. Based on the review score and number of submissions papers will be selected for presenation as talk or poster.

Invited session proposals

Invited sessions should consist of 4 to 6 papers focusing on a specific aim or topic. The envited session proposals should include titles, authors and abstracts of the contributing invited papers, and an at least 1-page summary and aim of the invited session. Each contributor to the session must submit an invited session paper. If an invited session is not accepted, all corresponding papers will be treated as regular submissions.

Abstract contributions

We encourage abstract submissions for presentation as a talk or poster only (no publication). The abstracts should be at least 1 page in length, using the style file of full papers. Abstracts will be reviewed in a steamlined reviewing process. Decisions about the presentation style as talk or poster will be based on the quality of the abstract. Standard presentation style for abstract contributions is as poster.

Pre-conference workshops

2-page pre-symposium workshop proposals should include topic, abstract, target audience, tentative schedule and presenters. The workshop proposal should be at least 1 page in length, using the style file of full papers.

Contribution format

All contributions must be in English language and according to publication requirements for IFAC meetings. All submissions will be reviewed according to IFAC regulations by the International Program Committee (IPC). Accepted papers (not abstracts) will be published in an IFAC Proceedings volume for the conference, and on the website of the IFAC-PapersOnline Series at Elsevier ScienceDirect.

Required registration for accepted contributions

In accordance to IFAC standards, submitting authors should keep in mind that any accepted contribution requires that at least one author will be registered fully and be present at the conference. Registration is necessary before submitting the final contribution. No show contributions might lead to an exclusion of the paper from the IFAC Proceedings volume for the conference, and on the website of the IFAC-PapersOnline Series at Elsevier ScienceDirect.

Selection of oral presentations, keynote talks, and posters

From contributions with high review scores some keynote talks will be selected. Oral presentations will be selected based on the quality of the contributions. Oral presentation of abstracts will also be considered but with reduced priority. Contributions not selected for oral presentation will be presented in poster sessions.

IFAC copyright conditions

Accepted papers that have been presented at an IFAC meeting will be published in the proceedings of the event using the open-access IFAC-PapersOnLine series hosted on ScienceDirect (http://www.sciencedirect.com). To this end, the author(s) must confer the copyright to IFAC when they submit the final version of the paper through the paper submission process.
